I love working with people as a coach because it uses all of my professional skills and talents.

When I am coaching someone, I offer:

The listening skills I have honed during my 20 years as a psychotherapist;

The creativity that I bring to my role as a passionate and dedicated teacher of writing;

The focus and determination of a person who has managed to write and publish two successful books while practicing psychotherapy, giving presentations, teaching classes, and being a wife and parent.

“Learn from the mistakes of others. You can't live long enough to make them all yourself.”

--Eleanor Roosevelt

“Directors, coaches and editors cannot teach you how to get there. But they can put you on the paths that lead there.”

--Thomas McCormack

"All I'm doing is pointing. You must find it true for yourself."

--The Buddha

  • Overwhelmed by a project and don’t know where to begin?

  • Seeking a more satisfying and exciting career?

  • Searching for a greater sense of well-being or true inner peace?
  • Want to be writing, painting or creating but don’t know how to take the first step?

  • Have a project, thesis, dissertation, article or book you can’t quite finish writing?

  • Think you have more to offer, but don’t quite know what it is?

The most important task in realizing your dream is to have a crystal clear vision. And for that, we sometimes need help.

The Coach Approach is a multifaceted coaching program I have designed for highly motivated people seeking specific breakthrough results.

The Coach Approach will help you clarify your personal or professional goals, unblock what’s keeping you from achieving them, and – most important of all -- commit yourself to a step-by-step plan of action to achieve those goals.

Coaching has become a popular method for finding solutions to the practical problems we face in our lives. Coaching, unlike psychotherapy, focuses on actions instead of feelings, an approach which some people find more satisfying.

I agree that without taking specific action you cannot achieve your dreams. But sometimes a person’s feelings and beliefs about themselves prevent them from taking action. When that happens, many coaches are stumped.

Because I am both a psychotherapist and a coach, I know how to help when old feelings get in the way. Together we will use short-term therapeutic techniques that will help you resolve those feelings and get back on the road to success.

As your coach, I will teach you several simple and engaging tools for self-fulfillment in a private program that I will customize to your personality and your needs.

For more information or to schedule a complimentary half-hour session -- either in person in my San Francisco Bay Area office or by phone.
